History |
I moved to California 30 years ago from the frozen tundra of Western New York State after graduating with a B.A. from S.U.N.Y. Fredonia. When I first arrived, I worked in San Diego building and installing TV studios and mobile facilities. I then was hired as a Teachers Aid in Broadcast Maintenance classes at Palomar College. Following that, I worked as a video editor at a videodisc startup company called VHD. While working at VHD (a Panasonic venture) I was part of a group sent to Japan to collaborate with our Japanese counterparts. From there I went to work at Pioneer Videodisc Mfg. where I edited and encoded Laser Discs (remember those?). After that I worked vacation relief at NBC in Burbank as a utility person. Shortly after, I found a home at CST Technologies colorizing old black and white movies. Years later I worked for Directv as a video and sound editor writing/producing/editing and mixing audio for promos and full length shows. While at Directv I was part of a team that was sent to Japan for an extended period of time to help set up and train our Directv Japan partners. I then continued my career at Disney creating content for their online presence.
